Today we went to Diamond Thai for lunch, which was the last Asian restaurant we will go to for this class.\u00a0 Once again, I have only been to this restaurant once in my life and ordered an eggplant dish.\u00a0 Diamond Thai is a small quaint place close to downtown Sioux City.\u00a0 The staff was very friendly and quickly served us.\u00a0 We were the first people in the restaurant, but it quickly filled up.\u00a0 They had a large selection of food and beverages.\u00a0 I was surprised by all the different types of curry.\u00a0 I never knew there were that many.<\/p>\n

I ordered something new.\u00a0 I have had curry before, but I have never had red curry.\u00a0 I ordered red curry chicken for my meal.\u00a0 I did not get any appetizers today.\u00a0 For my drink, I ordered a glass of water and their iced coffee.\u00a0 I remembered I liked Da Kao\u2019s iced coffee and decided to try Diamond Thai\u2019s.\u00a0 The iced coffee was served in a tall parfait glass.\u00a0 It was refreshing.\u00a0 It tasted like they added sweet cream into coffee.\u00a0 I thought it was more like a dessert because of how creamy and sweet it was.\u00a0 My meal was served later and came in a bowl with sticky white rice on the side.\u00a0 The bowl of red curry chicken looked more like a soup to me.\u00a0 I pictured in my head that my meal was going to be more a plate of food, and as not soupy.\u00a0 It had a pungent smell to it.\u00a0 I added some rice into the chicken curry mixture and dug in.\u00a0 I really enjoyed it, but I thought it was going to be spicier.\u00a0 I asked for the mild, but now I am wondering how spicy the hot flavor is.\u00a0 I might have to go back and try it someday.\u00a0 My meal cost $7.50 for the food and I do not remember how much the iced coffee was.\u00a0 I would say the food was well worth the cost.\u00a0 Some of my classmates ordered a dessert that had sweet coconut sticky rice with mangos.\u00a0 I was full, so I did not order dessert, but in the end I wish I would have.\u00a0 The mango looked so fresh and succulent.\u00a0 Everyone said that dessert was the best.\u00a0 Other people ordered fried bananas and ice cream.\u00a0 They said it tasted like warm banana bread.\u00a0 I think next time I go to Diamond Thai I need to order a dessert.\u00a0 Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.\u00a0 I think their curry dishes are one of the best in Sioux City.<\/p>\n

I would recommend this restaurant to others.\u00a0 This restaurant has pretty authentic Thai food.\u00a0 Diamond Thai also serves food without curry for people who are not a fan of curry.\u00a0 Not all their entr\u00e9es are spicy.\u00a0 The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and quiet.\u00a0 It had kind of a peaceful feel to it.\u00a0\u00a0 They have pictures on the walls and statues in the corners.\u00a0 They have redecorated since the last time I have been there.\u00a0 I like the new interior look better because it opens the restaurant up.\u00a0 I can see myself going there again to order Thai food.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
