Tokyo Steakhouse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we ate at Japanese Tokyo Steakhouse.\u00a0 I had never been there until today and was surprised by the whole experience.\u00a0 I had always wanted to eat there, but I just never took the time to do so.\u00a0 At the Japanese Tokyo Steakhouse restaurant, I definitely was able to fulfill my goal of trying something new.\u00a0 They have a large selection on the menu, ranging from red meat to seafood.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/atasteofsomethingnew\/files\/2013\/05\/Tokyo-lunch.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-46\" alt=\"Tokyo lunch\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/atasteofsomethingnew\/files\/2013\/05\/Tokyo-lunch-206x300.png\" in order to fit around one of the Hibachi grills.\u00a0 The chef cooked our food right in front of us, which was pretty cool.\u00a0 For a drink, I ordered a glass of water and a Japanese soda pop.\u00a0 The Japanese soda pop was interesting.\u00a0 There were two kinds, strawberry or melon.\u00a0 I chose the melon flavored fizzy drink.\u00a0 It had to be the strangest think I have drank before.\u00a0 The pop came in a class bottle and you had to use the top to punch this glass ball into the neck of the bottle in order to create the fizziness for the drink.\u00a0 The carbonated beverage tasted pretty sweet with a hint of melon.\u00a0 I actually really enjoyed it.\u00a0 Before any appetizers or main entrees came out, the waitress brought everyone a salad.\u00a0 The salad had a very distinct taste to it.\u00a0 I think it had some peanut flavored sauce on it.\u00a0 A classmate and I shared a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">teriyaki chicken <\/span>appetizer, which was delicious!\u00a0 The chicken was tender and flavorful.\u00a0 My main entr\u00e9e was a heaping pile of food!\u00a0 I was able to take home extra for dinner later.\u00a0 I ordered a lunch combination of mahi-mahi and swordfish.\u00a0 The lunch combinations also came with fried rice and vegetables.\u00a0 Everything to my meal was delectable.\u00a0 I had never had mahi-mahi or swordfish before and I was surprised how \u201cunfishy\u201d both kinds of fish tasted.\u00a0 The swordfish had more a texture more like read meat, while the mahi-mahi had a texture more like tilapia.\u00a0 I enjoyed both kinds of fish and can definitely see myself ordering each type of fish another time.\u00a0 The fried rice and vegetables were also very tasty!\u00a0 The food was ready at different times, so I could not just eat everything right as it was done because I wanted to taste everything I had ordered.\u00a0 Whenever the food was done, especially with the colorful veggies, the whole meal looked appetizing.\u00a0 Watching the chef cook in front of us was very entertaining.\u00a0 He would throw food and we would have to catch it in our mouth.\u00a0 I was shocked by how much garlic butter the chef used in our food.\u00a0 He came out with a gigantic mound of butter and easily used a good portion of it.\u00a0 I have not been ordering many desserts during this class so today I decided to order green tea ice cream.\u00a0 I like green tea and wondered how green tea ice cream would taste.\u00a0 I ate all of the green colored ice cream.\u00a0 Surprisingly, it was very delicious.\u00a0 It had a mild taste.\u00a0 I could taste the green tea, but it was not too potent.\u00a0 After finishing the ice cream, I was plum full and the waitress gladly brought be a to go box.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/atasteofsomethingnew\/files\/2013\/05\/Tokyo-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-41\" Japanese Tokyo Steakhouse.\u00a0 It was pricier than the previous restaurants we have gone to, but it was well worth it.\u00a0 The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant.\u00a0 It seemed very clean and peaceful.\u00a0 I was able to try many new foods and drinks.\u00a0 I would definitely recommend others to go to the Japanese Tokyo Steakhouse and can see myself going there
