Hi! I’m Ashley, a junior here at Morningside. I am currently enrolled in the class of Modern Art History and I am quite excited for it. I decided to take the class because I want to minor in photography and I hope it helps with ideas and background information on art itself.
The purpose of my blog is to display the research I have done on past and current artists. I want to be able to show off what I have learned so that others can also learn with me. As I mentioned, I am very excited for my Modern Art class because I enjoy history and art. I really hope this class teaches me more about certain art techniques and what they mean. That way I can apply these techniques to my photographs and to the art I do for myself. I also noticed we are planning to discuss Suprematism and Dadaism, I’ve never heard of these two art movements before. Therefore, I am excited to see what they are all about!
