{"id":204,"date":"2015-02-02T11:47:05","date_gmt":"2015-02-02T17:47:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/alumninewsletter\/?p=204"},"modified":"2015-02-02T11:50:45","modified_gmt":"2015-02-02T17:50:45","slug":"check-it-out-alumni-spotlight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/alumninewsletter\/2015\/02\/02\/check-it-out-alumni-spotlight\/","title":{"rendered":"Check It Out: Alumni Spotlight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the Alumni Board President, Adam Lloyd leads a group of alumni in decision making for current students and alumni with direct relationship to the college.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are trying to bring the college experience back to everyone,\u201d said Lloyd. \u201cWe want people to stay engage with the school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Chapter Program was first launch with the Denver Chapter and others programs soon followed. The chapters were started to help keep alumni engaged with the college.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just a place for the alumni to meet and gather and bring back memories,\u201d said Lloyd. \u201cThat allows them to talk about their experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the same time it allows the alumni board to show alumni the changes that have occurred on campus. They can be kept up-to-date with photos and stories of what has taken place back on campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chapter Program is a way for us to bring the school back to them,\u201d said Lloyd. \u201cWhile I am in this role, I am going to do as much as I can because it\u2019s been fun to be apart of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lloyd graduated from Morningside College in 2004 with a double major in business administration and accounting.
