Starry Eyed Surprise

When I was in second grade I think blogging would have been pointless for where technology was when I was that young. Where technology is and where it is going, it is perfectly relevant for second graders to learn how to blog. Blogging is a good way to be introduced to writing online especially if it is a personal blog. You can write whatever and however you want, of course people are going to criticize you, but that’s only going to make you better at writing online. Second graders now have cell phones, laptops and all sorts of gadgets that I didn’t have when I was that age so I think it is important for them to learn how to use what they have. This doesn’t mean I necessarily agree with children that young having these means for technology, but if they have it they might as well know how to use it. I believe that if we thought it was hard to sensor our children before it is going to be even harder now, so it’s important for not just the second grader to know how to use the technology, but also for the parents to know how too.
