Explosion at Mega City Mall

Earlier today an explosion at Mega City Mall around 9:58 am.

The explosion occurred in the South East section of the mall, in the area of Gun Land. Less than 100 injuries and 2 fatalities have been reported at this time.

Harold Hadrada, electrician, said that he was called to check an issue near the explosion. Hadrada reported that he “never made it to that part of the mall before the incident happened.”

Sergeant Fuglsang, of the Mega City Police Department, reported that they are still in a preliminary investigation, but at this time, there is not a clear indication as to who did this or why it happened.

The sergeant also reported that the mall has had prior electrical issues.

Edna Jones, an experienced mall walker, stated that she didn’t see anything but is devastated that she will be unable to continue her daily 10 laps at the mall. She went on to say ” I am so glad that my grand-babies weren’t with me. Who knows what would’ve happened.”

A Victor’s Secret employee, Diandra, also reported that she didn’t see the explosion but heard a loud boom and screaming. She went on to say that “the ground was shaking and stuff started to fall off of the ceiling.”

Sergeant Fuglsang also said that he “doesn’t foresee the mall opening before Saturday” and won’t be opened until the structural integrity of the building has been tested.
