Restaurant Review: Zoup

9974067-largeBy Taylor Pluim—Zoup is a soup and sandwich restaurant located next to Peachwave on Sergeant Road. Zoup has over a 100 different soup recipes to try, but they go on a rotation so not all of them are available every day. However, there are two kinds available every day because they are the most popular. Those two are chicken pot pie and lobster bisque. There are also about eight to ten sandwiches to choose from.

I have been to Zoup twice so far and it has been fantastic both times. It has a similar set up to Panera Bread, minus the fireplace and lounge chairs. However, in terms of food it the exact same style, just different flavors. The first time I went there I got a combination of the lobster bisque soup and a turkey club sandwich. The soup was very good. It was creamy and very full of flavor. It was similar to a chowder but not nearly as chunky. Although the soup was very good, what really stood out to me from this restaurant was the sandwich. As mentioned earlier I had a turkey club. It was put together wonderfully and was the perfect amount of warmth. It also had the right proportions of everything. Not too much or too little of anything.

I would say this restaurant is much better than Panera. It has a similar price for about the same amount of food, but the food is better at Zoup in my opinion. So if you like going to cozy little sandwich shops or just like trying new places in general, I would definitely recommend this place.
