Senior Spotlight: TyAnn Buddenhagen

indexBy Gabi French—TyAnn Buddenhagen, a senior from Huron, South Dakota, is more than ready to start her life after Morningside College.

Buddenhagen transferred to Morningside College from Dakota Wesleyan her sophomore year, “it was the best decision I have made during my college career.”

Buddenhagen is graphic design major and a former Mustang for the volleyball team.

“Volleyball was the main reason for my transfer, but the past two years I have been here, the graphic design program has given me everything that I will need after college.”

TyAnn played volleyball at Morningside College for two years, and loved the experience.

“I met the funniest girls during my two years. All the girls will be my forever friends after I graduate.”

Buddenhagen was a setter for the Mustangs and also the leading assister her two seasons here. She had over 1,600 assists.

“I grew up setting and loving the game of volleyball, so I am glad I could be a leader in what I love doing most.”

Buddenhagen plans to move to Minnesota after she graduates to search of a graphic design job. She plans to live in Minnesota for a while if she finds a permanent job. Buddenhagen feels Morningside is the right place for her to be graduating from, considering her other college was not the right fit.

TyAnn says if there is one thing that she will miss the most from Morningside is her “second family” (roommates), but she plans on keeping in close contact with her roommates and volleyball friends.
