Alex is a senior with a double major in graphic design and photography. As graduation nears, he looks back at his time here at Morningside College.

He has been an active member in Photography Club and AIGA. Through these organizations he has had the opportunity to travel and attend multiple conferences.

“My favorite Morningside memory,” said Alex, “was traveling to the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Conference in Las Vegas. I had the opportunity to showcase my photography to a professional who provided beneficial feedback.”

Along with attending conferences, he has attended Photography Club and photo class trips to Oceanside, Oregon and New York, New York. Alex has also had the honor of getting his photographs published in two different editions of the Morningside Kiosk.

Besides the opportunities, one of the main reasons Alex chose to come to Morningside College was because of the teachers and staff.

“They displayed an interest in developing students to achieve high standards,” said Alex, “and create valuable relationships through networking.”

Throughout his four years here, he has learned to go outside his comfort zone, make network connections, and develop relationships with other students.

“My four years at Morningside have been awesome!” said Alex. Ultimately, those four years have helped me understand what it is that I am passionate about and the ambition to succeed.”

Alex plans on looking for a job in a bigger city after graduation while continuing to do freelance work on the side.
