The new game returns your favorite characters to the fight but it also adds in many new ones. According to IGN, the new starting roster has over 37 characters with add-ins of Rosalina and Luma, Little Mac, Pac-Man, Shulk, and many more. The new game also features the ability to play as a Mii or a Wii Fit Trainer. Now your own personalized Mii character can fight alongside or against your favorite characters.
Besides the new character additions, the game also features a breakthrough in the Super Smash Bros. gaming experience: online playing capabilities. This allows you to connect and battle friends from all over. Whether they are down the hall or across the country, as long as there is Internet, the battling can commence.
Another new feature is the higher capacity of players allowed to play. The standard limit was always four but now all the fifth and sixth members of a group can join in on the action instead of just being the awkward watchers. The game even has a special mode for eight players, which allows for bigger maps, more chaos, and enough fighting to fill the screen.
The fighting is taken to a whole new level with the added in danger zones. These zones are placed throughout maps. Not only do they do damage if you hit or land on them, but if you are over 100% damage they will instantly kill you. This adds a whole new level of fun to grabbing opponents and throwing them. Now with careful aim they can explode across the screen and fall off the map, making their life count subtract.
The technical aspects of the game include the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, giving it amazing graphics. According to CraveOnline, this is the best resolution and graphics the Super Smash Bros. gaming series has ever had.
Super Smash Bros. is set to release Friday, November 21. The game can be pre-ordered now or picked up in most stores upon the release day. Super Smash Bros. lovers will not be disappointed with the new levels, challenges, modes, and capabilities of the game. They take the series to a whole new level.
