Bar and Grill Review: Half Moon Bar and Grill

halfmoonBy Andrew Schnebel– Just around the corner from Morningside College sits a bar and grill that I’m sure not many know about. Half Moon Bar and Grill is located at 714 South Lewis Boulevard, and just opened up last November.

Just past Bob Roes and the Pulaski Park baseball fields sits this bar and grill in between a couple car dealerships. People’s first reaction to the place is it has a rough exterior. Once you step inside though you will find a nicely remodeled bar with two rooms inside. There are six big flat screen televisions throughout the first room, and the room in the back has a large projector and a pool table.

With eight beers on tap, and a wide variety in selection of bottled beer and liquor selections, you won’t have trouble finding a drink selection you like. As for their food selection, that was the biggest surprise to me on how much work they put into their food. The menu is very basic but you won’t go wrong with anything off the menu.

Student Jeff Schnebel says, “It is a great atmosphere there, and a great place to watch any sporting event. There’s not a bad seat in the place.”

So if you’re looking for a great place right around Morningside College to go check out for a change, head on over to Half Moon Bar and Grill.
