Local man killed in 2 vehicle collision
Local man killed in 2 vehicle collision on Highway 20 last Thursday. Three survivors are in the Marion Health Center.
Moyer Quick, 65, of South Sioux City was killed in a 2 car collision Thursday at 11am, two miles east of Sioux City on Highway 20.
Quick collided with truck driver Randy Radin, 17, of Sioux City.
The 3 survivors were taken to Marian Health Center. 2 injured were in the Quick vehicle. Dorothy Quick, 61, was in “good” condition and Maxine Steuerwald, Dorothy’s sister, of Lawton was in “fair” condition. Radin is in “critical” condition with a fractured skull and internal injuries.
As of yesterday, Dorothy Quick has now been released. Steuerwald is scheduled to be released.
Iowa Highway Patrolman, Patric Stewart stated both vehicles were heading west. Quick struck Radin while passing. Both vehicles went into the ditch on the north side. Quick’s vehicle rolled once.
The accident is still under investigation. A causing factor could be Quick’s heart attack while driving.
