Thanksgiving Break

My family has a religious background and has sub rituals that we do as a family.  When holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving come around we all meet as a big family and eat a big breakfast and then we go to church as a family.  Usually after church is over the turkey is done cooking and we go to my grandmas house to have lunch and visit with family.  Another kind of ritual we always have is we play cards with everyone after we clean up after dinner, it is kind of a cool down for our family and a relaxing time for all of us to come to the sacred center of my grandmas house.  When I am around my family, I am at my sacred place, I feel comfortable and safe at my grandmas house and surrounded by family and lots of love.

My Presentation

I have built a short story that shares examples of religious studies we have learned through the class.  It is about a group of kids that started a pack and learned a new word at school called pilgrimage.  They went to go study the word and other words associated with it.  They had a goal to finish their studies before they could go to the Chicago Cubs game on Sunday that weekend.  They learned about religion, analytical and descriptive pilgrimage, the 7 steps of becoming a hajji, and the found their axis mundi.
