Just In Case Birth Control Perscriptions

Pediatricians are saying emergency contraception should be more widely available for girls and women.  The FDA says it should be available to any woman who needs it without a prescription.  Now federal policy says girls under 17 need a prescription to ge the pill.  AAP says girls need the contraception and we should make it easy for them to get.  If it is easy for them to get and they have knowledge about it then they are more likely to use it and lower the teen birth rate.

This is newsworthy because teen pregnancy is everywhere and the rate is going up.  These girls are not ready for babies and having access to the emergency contraception may make the number decline.  I think doctors should be talking to the women, telling them about the pill and how to protect them self from an unwanted pregnancy.  Parents will want to read this article too, because parents are always concerned about their children, and this could affect many people if this is passed.
