South Sioux City Man Dead In Collision on Hwy 20

A two car collision on Highway 20 killed one South Sioux City man and injured three others on Wednesday.

Moyer Quick, a 65-year-old man of South Sioux City, NE, was driving his vehicle two miles east of Sioux City when he attempted to pass 16-year-old Randy Radin of Le Mars. Quick then quickly merged into Radin’s vehicle causing the two to collide and veer into the median. Quick was declared dead at the scene.

From an autopsy that was released, Quick suffered a heart attack during the pass. This caused Quick to strike Radin’s vehicle, failing to complete the pass. The impact sent both vehicles into the ditch. Quick’s vehicle rolled once.

From the incident are four survivors, two of which were in Quick’s vehicle. Quick’s wife, Dorothy, and Maxine Steuerwald¬†were directly sent to Marian Health Center to care for their injuries.

Radin and his passenger continue to be in critical condition at the same health center. According to sources, Dorothy and Maxine are in good condition, Radin is suffering from a fractured skull and internal injuries.
