You can now access databases and e-resources directly from the Learning Center blog.  Follow the Databases and Electronic Resources link for a listing of databases you have access to as a Morningside student.  As always, if you are off campus, you will need to enter your Morningside log-in and password to access some materials.

I really like Wikipedia.  I think its a great place to start research if you don’t have a firm grounding before hand.  I don’t think its a great primary source.  Apparently, journalists at the Guardian, BBC and Daily Mail do think it is a great primary source.  An Irish college student, as an experiment, included a completely fictitious quote in Maurice Jarre’s Wikipedia page.  A completely fictitious quote that was removed quickly by the Wikipedia community, yet still found its way into multiple news sources.  To read more about this story, check it out here:  http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2009/0506/1224245992919.html.
