This week’s Wrap-up is the last one for this academic year and as I am typing this sentence, I’m still not sure what to feature here. I gave some thought to a Sioux City downtown site that includes a calendar of summer activities and directions to four different walking tours of downtown. Perhaps the blog, The Kept-up Academic Librarian written by Steven Bell, an Associate University Librarian at Temple University would be a good choice.  Surely his compilation of the news in higher education would be of interest to some readers. I almost chose the Iowa Heritage Digital Collections, but then lost my initial enthusiasm (not sure why) for the site. It is cool though.

I still haven’t decided. So … I defer to you, the readers. Do have a safe summer and look for the Wrap-up to return next fall.

This week’s Wrap-up, first sent to the Morningside community in November 2002 comes from the WWW ‘archives’.

As I become older, I am finding that highbrow sophistication is not a perquisite of really good humor. I am also easily amused. This Wrap-up also once received ‘critical acclaim’ from a member of our musical faculty. Although it lacks sophistication, it is also very amusing.

410 English-language Tongue Twisters is not serious academic fare. However, if you would like to know “How many boards could the Mongols hoard if the Mongol hordes got bored?” or, if you are looking to improve your diction, click here >>> http://www.uebersetzung.at/twister/en.htm.
