The excitement for Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor has everyone on their feat, but that isn’t the only fight that happened this week. Thursday, August 24th, the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees had a bench clearing brawl. The dugout cleared three different times and Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera throws punches at New York’s catcher. This all started when Cabrera had a fastball thrown behind him. This is when they all exchanged words and the benches cleared for the first time of the evening. Then, later in the game, McCann gets a 98 mile-an-hour pitch to the head. This is a very dangerous and controversial thing to do. A baseball going that fast can not only ruin someone’s career, but ruin their life. In recent years, professional baseball has been trying to stop the intentional hit batter. People will argue all day long about whether hitting a batter should be allowed or not. The fact of the matter is, this is one of baseball’s unwritten rules.
When a hitter shows up a pitcher, the pitchers get even.
