Final Draft Story #4: Astounding freshmen have taken Mustang Men’s Swim Team to a new level

Morningside swimming is into its midseason meet on Saturday December 1st and Sunday December 2nd at the KoHawk Invitational in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The Morningside Men’s Swim team sits at 3-0 in Duel Meets, and has finished with two 2nd’s two 3rd’s in Invitational Meets. This is the best start the Men’s team has had in the history of the college, and what some say there best shot at a conference championship. As we bring our attention to the astounding freshmen who have taken this Mustang Men’s Swim Team to a new level.

Ron Defauw, a distance swimmer from Rock Springs, Wyoming came into the season with a stellar start as he won his first ever individual collegiate event, and has now gained the attention of his coaches, his teammates, and the national rankings. Defauw is one of the fastest freshmen the team has had in a while, and is making his presents known.

Defauw has gone under a 10:40.00 in every one of his races as a Mustang in 5 showings of his 1000 yard freestyle, and has yet to go over a 17:40.00 Mile this year as well. Defauw is one of the few Morningside swimmers with a couple national “B” cut time standards, and looks to make them automatic qualifying times. While some of his teammates lack even 1 cut. Defauw has already cracked the All-time top 10 swimmers in Morningside history in 5 events. Defauw leads the team in the 200 Butterfly, 1000 Freestyle, the Mile, and the 200 and 400 Individual Medley. I took time to speak with Defauw, and his swimming career. Defauw spoke about his father as his coach before coming to college, and what he plans to do this year here at Morningside as a Mustang.

Press Release: Midland Zoo Polar Bear dies

The Midland Zoo’s oldest polar bear Homer has now died. Polar Bears have thrived at the zoo since 1985. Our unique exhibit allows bears to engage in natural behaviors, playing in manufactured snow, digging in gravel and hunting trout in the chilled pool. The bears are educating zoo visitors about these threatened animals. Chris P. Bacon the Zoo’s director said “We will do everything in our power to determine how this bear died. Animal welfare and the preservation of species are our primary goals here at the zoo.” Dr. Shanda Lear, senior staff veterinarian said “The zoo will perform a necropsy to try to determine the cause of death. The results will not be available for several weeks.” Sara N. Getty a zookeeper had fed him an hour prior before finding him dead, and said “Homer was a very playful polar bear and we will miss him dearly.”

(Conversation peice) Taskstream Struggles

This morning at about 9:40 A.M. My fundamentals of Journalism professor Ross Fuglsang, a tall man wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a small plaid pocket, and looks like he might have recently got a haircut, decided for class today that we we’re going to set up or re-open our Taskstream accounts. Me being a Freshman never had opened it, and everyone else had some struggles as this was the first time they used there old passwords from there school accounts, and had some struggles.

Ross said I “was able to be enrolled in the class so I should have an account” to set up. Ross also mentioned that Me and Grace Nordquist were both transfer students so we might have some struggles. I responded by saying “I am a Freshman not a transfer, and I’m special that’s why my account doesn’t work.” I proceeded to use six of the passwords I have used in the past three months, and not one worked. I then continued to reset my password to the website, and was able to log in.

News Comment #13 Trumps tries to take down the Media once again

https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/13/media/cnn-sues-trump/index.html

President Trump and White House officials suspended CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s Press Pass because Trump believes that Acosta was a very rude and uncareful reporter that has no class, and was already known as a rude reporter to all officials in the white house. I believe if Trump is correct and Acosta has no class and barges in whenever then he deserves to be a reporter to loose his press pass. CNN can send someone else, but Trump also has had a grudge and bone to pick with the media.

The author of this story immediately got right to the point, and does very well staying on top of the many events that are occurring, but also sparked up worry throughout the country, and looks to make gun restriction laws even tighter, bringing the government into this to take action after they have already been tightened to reduce this kind of thing, and has now brought it to the government and national attention as it has already been brought up in the nations capital many times before
